Kevin Stepaniuk joins expanded Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service
Dr. Kevin Stepaniuk joined the Veterinary Medical Center’s expanded Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service in September 2009. Stepaniuk is a fellow of the Academy of Veterinary Dentistry, a diplomate of the American Veterinary Dental College, and the president-elect of the American Veterinary Dental Society. His interests and focus are in oral and maxillofacial surgery, endodontics, and periodontal surgery. “The expansion of the dentistry and oral surgery team is allowing us to better serve our referring veterinarians and clients,” says Gary Goldstein, associate medical director. “Our team offers a comprehensive approach to oral fractures, oral tumors, endodontic disease, advanced periodontal disease, oral medicine, malocclusions, and other oral/dental pathology.” Among the many treatments offered in the Dentistry and Oral Surgery Service are oral-maxillofacial surgery (including maxillectomies, mandibulectomies, jaw fracture repair, and palate surgery), root canals, crowns, restorations, orthodontics, oral medicine diagnostics and treatment, and periodontal surgery. With the addition of Stepaniuk, Goldstein and Dr. Wade Gingerich, dentistry and oral surgery resident, are now seeing cases and performing surgery five days a week, with expanded capabilities for diagnostic evaluations and consultations.
