Scholarly Interests
Teaching interests relate to the development of problem oriented courseware and web based learning aids which could have application in veterinary colleges world wide.  Research interests center around stem cell biology.  Current directions of research pertain to the development of multipotent stem cell lines in a large animal model which could be used for gene therapy (e.g. treatment of diabetes).  Exploring stem cell treatment in a large animal model is a needed step toward our ultimate goal of translating this form of therapy to humans.
