Ph.D., University of Missouri

Research Interests
My focus is educational research dealing with methods of making permanent specimens for gross anatomical instruction. My lab is pioneering the use of liquid nitrogen trapping of acetone in order to meet new OSHA regulations that impact current plastination protocols. Freeze drying as an alternative to plastination is being studied in order to optimize resources and thereby move in part from wet cadaver specimens to "off the shelf" anatomic instruction.
