Current Facilities


Six major buildings comprise the College of Veterinary Medicine. These facilities support the teaching, research and service efforts provided by the faculty, staff, and students. In this section you can obtain a sense of the current CVM facilities and how they relate to daily operations.

Entrance to current Small Animal Hospital. Bldg dedicated in 1982.

Entrance to Large Animal Hospital. Bldg opened in 1949, extensively remodeled in 1982.

Diagnostic Laboratory dedicated in 1992. Provides diagnostic services for a variety of animal diseases.

Gabbert Raptor Center dedicated in 1989. Serves raptors and other avian species.

A view inside of the Small Animal Hospital's Intensive Care Unit. Remodeled in 1997, functions 24/7 and provides service to a wide variety of patients needing advanced medical care.

 

One of the clinical service areas. In this case, the medical staff is reviewing a set of radiographs to determine a medical diagnosis and treatment plan.

   

 

The spiral CT scanner, an example of sophisticated equipment housed in the college. It can provide detailed images of internal organs and more quickly identify abnormalities than standard radiographs.
