Public Relations Intern


POSITION:    Public Relations Intern

JOB DESCRIPTION: Work with the communications staff to organize and maintain public relations databases.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

•    Update media lists and research new contacts

•    File press clippings and update database

QUALIFICATIONS:

•    Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Access

•    Knowledge of media list development and management

•    Strong organizational skills

•    The candidate will be working towards a degree in Journalism, Communication Studies, or related field

SKILLS: Desire to expand public relations experience, ability to work independently, and complete tasks in a timely manner

IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR:  Communications assistant

HOURS:  Flexible, desire 10-15 hours per week

COMPENSATION:    This internship is unpaid.
