Fekadu Kassie, DVM, PhD

Fekadu Kassie, an assistant professor of Oncology and Comparative Medicine, is interested in cancer chemoprevention and identification of cancer biomarkers. He received his doctoral degree in veterinary medicine from Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia. Later he received his master’s and Ph.D. degrees in toxicology from the Vienna University of Veterinary Medicine in Austria. When not at the lab or working on his computer at home, Fekadu passes his time with his wife, Meseret, and their three children, Emanuel, Bruk and Rediet.
