U of M Homecoming 2014

Since 1914, the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, has celebrated Homecoming, a week dedicated to honoring the spirit of the maroon and gold. This celebration brings the campus community together with events such as pep rallies, community service events, a parade, a Homecoming football game, and more!

Pro Advice 101: Career Tips from the U of M Alumni Network

Alumni and students are invited to a lively networking opportunity and interactive presentation that will address some of today’s toughest professional etiquette, networking, and on-the-job questions, based on feedback from the 445,000+ strong University of Minnesota alumni community. Advice on how to negotiate salary, navigate food/beverage etiquette, avoid fatal job search mistakes, network with confidence, handle embarrassing questions, and more! Appetizers and non-alcohol beverages will be served. Alumni: $20 UMAA members; $25 non-members. Students: $10 UMAA members; $15 non-members.

SAVMA Symposium
March 19-21, 2015
The University of Minnesota, College of Veterinary Medicine has been chosen to host the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) Symposium. This is an annual three day conference planned entirely by veterinary students, and the host AVMA accredited veterinary school is selected by the SAVMA executive board based on individual proposals each year. We are delighted that the University of Minnesota has been chosen for this exciting opportunity for veterinary students from across the globe to develop as future veterinary professionals, and we are confident we will exceed the tradition of excellence. Approximately 1,400 veterinary students will attend lectures, wet labs, academic and athletic competitions, and social events during their time at the Symposium, which is to be held at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Minneapolis.
