The Center for Animal Health and Food Safety (CAHFS) plays a key role in protecting people from animal diseases and food-borne illnesses. Since its inception in 2001, CAHFS has responded to emerging animal health, public health, and food safety issues by partnering with local, national and international stakeholders to improve food safety and public health. High-quality work that is based on interdisciplinary engagement and responsiveness to the issues at hand are the hallmark of CAHFS.

2015 Focus on Food Policy

The 2015 Focus on Food Policy program will explore the interconnections of politics, culture, economics and consumer influences around food systems policy. Courses and forums will focus on the critical thinking, leadership skills and behavioral competencies needed to work effectively in the realm of food policy.
