CAHFS VPH Resident Education Fund Banner

The Veterinary Pioneers in Public Health Resident Education Fund (Pioneer Fund) will support experiential learning and travel for residents who need financial support.

Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine Residents are early and mid-career veterinarians interested in expanding their knowledge and skills for public veterinary practice.

Experiential experiences call upon the residents to design approaches, apply analytical skills, make decisions, and solve problems through active participation in programs, field experiences and interactions with a wide range of individuals and organizations.

The Veterinary Pioneers in Public Health Resident Education Fund (Pioneer Fund) was created to assist these residents by financially supporting their attendance in experiential programs and activities. The fund was named in recognition of the founding pioneers of Veterinary Public Health education at the University of Minnesota’s College of Veterinary Medicine; Dr. Robert K. Anderson, Dr. Stan Diesch, Dr. Michael Pullen and Dr. Ashley Robinson.
