What's New

First two dogs on OSAL study: Two dogs with osteosarcoma are now enrolled in our study investigating the use of Salmonella-IL2 (Sal-IL2) added to standard treatment. These dogs are now post-amputation and doing well. Since we give the Sal-IL2 in an oral capsule, we are testing fecal samples post-treatment, and so far these have all come in negative (no Salmonella present). This mirrors what is being seen in human clinical trials as well as previous animal studies. These dogs will now begin chemotherapy with additional Sal-IL2 treatments for five cycles.
