Clinical Interests

Sepsis/SIRS - diagnosis, therapy, improvement of outcome; clinical toxicology; fluid therapy/volume resuscitation; metabolic emergencies.

Facilitating clinical research and clinical trials; translational medicine.

Research Interests

Shock and sepsis, early goal-directed therapy, and critical patient monitoring.

Evaluation of spontaneous sepsis/shock in clinical cases to gain knowledge on its manifestation, interventions, and monitoring in dog and cats, and in translating findings to human medicine.
