  This is in collaboration with MD and PharmD investigators at the U of MN College of Pharmacy.
   
• Basis of Exercise-Induced Border Collie Collapse

• Responsive Pharmacotherapy for Reducing/Preventing Epileptic Seizures.
  Neurovista Inc.
  Principal Investigator 10% FTE with full salary savings $136,000, 04/10/2010 – 04/09/2011
  This involves an intracranial EEG device for detecting and predicting seizures developed by Neurovista and being tested in the naturally occurring dog model.
   
• A Novel Cerebral Venous System Mapping and Ablation Technology.
  Minnesota Partnership for Biotechnology and Genomics.
  Co - Investigator 1% FTE, $475,000, 02/01/10 – 01/31/12
  This is in collaboration with investigators in the departments of biomedical engineering, neurosurgery, and pediatric neurology at the University of Minnesota, and the Mayo Clinic.
   
• The improved management of baclofen withdrawl: The development of IV baclofen.

  This funding is to test the intra-thecal formulation of baclofen (used for children with cerebal palsey) in a escalating IV dosing study in the dogs.
   
• Statistical Support for Comparative Genetics and Genomics UMN Associate Dean for Research, Signature Program Funding
  Principal Investigator, 1% FTE, $60,000, 09/01/2009 – 6/30/2011
  This funding is to support a 40% statistician position for 2 years to help with comparative genetics research of 7 internal CVM investigators.
   
• Heritability of calcium oxalate urolithiasis in Miniature Schnauzers

  This grant supports Eva Furrow’s resident Masters project, and is in collaboration with Jody Lulich of the CVM’s Minnesota Urolith Center.
