Urolith Cultures

At the Minnesota Urolith Center we perform quantitative urolith analysis which indicates the mineral type(s) in the urinary calculi. We do not offer urolith cultures.

In order for you to receive the highest quality urolith analysis and obtain the most accurate urolith culture, both procedures require one whole urolith.

If you would like to submit samples for bacterial culture and identification, please submit the urolith directly to:

Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Lab
1333 Gortner Avenue
St. Paul, MN 55108

You may get more information about the Diagnostic Lab at their website.

You must state clearly on the form that you want a "UROLITH CULTURE --DO NOT PERFORM QUANTITATIVE UROLITH ANALYSIS". Contact the Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Lab for appropriate urolith culture forms. They will bill you and send results to you directly. If you have additional questions on urolith cultures and charges please contact the Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Lab at 1-800-605-8787.

Please contact the Minnesota Urolith Center with further questions on quantitative urolith analysis 612-625-4221.
