Alumni Scholarships
Many alumni value the education they received at the College of Veterinary Medicine. Whether practicing with small or large animals or contributing to another area of public health – teaching, research, or government, veterinarians touch Minnesotan’s lives every day.
Gratified with their chosen profession, many former students have found a way to give back to the College by making a gift toward their class scholarship fund.
Another option for alumni is to create an annual scholarship provided through the establishment of an endowed scholarship fund. An endowed scholarship fund may be named in recognition of the donor or in honor of persons of the donor’s choice for a minimum gift of $25,000. Endowment funds are held in perpetuity by the University of Minnesota Foundation Investment Advisors, a non-profit investment management subsidiary.
New! Campaign Minnesota gifts of $25,000 or more that are designated to endow graduate fellowships may be eligible for matching through the 21st Century Graduate Fellowship Endowment.
Stay connected! Your scholarship contribution will make it possible for students to concentrate more of their time on their studies while receiving an outstanding academic program – and you will feel the satisfaction of knowing that you are contributing to potential greatness!
If you are interested in additional information about how to establish an endowed scholarship, please contact the College of Veterinary Medicine development office at 612-624-6744. If you would like to make a gift or pledge to your particular College of Veterinary Medicine’s alumni class scholarship fund, contact Sharon Staton, director of advancement, at 612-624-1247 or stato001@umn.edu. Every gift counts!
