Thank you for supporting the College of Veterinary Medicine

Philanthropy is a powerful force in sustaining our college. Since it was founded in 1947, the College of Veterinary Medicine (CVM) has relied on private grants, in addition to other sources, to fulfill its mission of teaching, research, and service.girl with dog

You can decide how your gift will impact the CVM. You can provide financial assistance through scholarships to support students eager to make their contributions to society. You can help strengthen the academic core by supporting faculty and research. You can support your favorite clinician, center, or department, or honor a special animal or animal lover.

Students get more financial help, faster.

Typically, an endowment fund starts small and grows over four years. Fast Start 4 Impact changes that. Fast Start awards students right away, in an amount that is roughly equivalent to the payout of a fully established fund. After four years, your new endowment fund takes over. Even better, it continues to help students far into the future. How it works

The benefits of this unique opportunity:

Fast- Your gift helps deserving students right away!
Forever- Your investment continues to help students for generations to come.
Financially wise- Your gift gets more help to students, faster.
Four years- Your gift can be made over 4 years.

The University of Minnesota holds a tax status of 170(c)1 because, as an integral part of the state of Minnesota, it is considered a government unit. The University of Minnesota Foundation, which accepts and manages private gifts made on behalf of the University of Minnesota, is a 501(c)3 organization.

Because the College of Veterinary Medicine is part of the University of Minnesota, it is classed as a 170(c)1. However, gifts made for its benefit are accepted and managed by the University of Minnesota Foundation, a 501(c)3 organization. All accounts are kept separate based on the purpose of the gift designation.
