Research Interests

  • Development and clinical applications of adult, bone marrow-derived multipotent stem cells.
  • Pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus and relationship to islet amyloid polypeptide (IAPP)-derived islet amyloidosis.

Clinical Interests

  • Surgical pathology including oncologic pathology and dermatopathology.

Instructional areas

  • Veterinary pathology: amyloidosis, diseases of the urinary tract, & diseases of the endocrine system.
  • Surgical and comparative pathology.
