The IAR is a repository and houses collection of research and clinical isolates that can be requested by University researchers for research purposes. These samples will be stored in its native form until requested by a researcher. Samples banked in the repository may be retrieved and distributed based on specific needs for research studies.

  • Collection distribution (per sample)    $ 53.00
  • Shipping charges (if required)           $ at cost

Ultra-cold storage space for clinical and research samples:
Freezer space may be utilized for long-term storage of clinical or research samples (tissue or isolates) by University researchers. All samples will be catalogued by the facility with information given and monitored regularly.

Researchers wishing access to the database for their samples will be given a login access to view their items for an additional software usage fee (see Software usage fee).

Rates for storage per year for 2012 are as follows:

Inventory management services:
Freezer inventory, both within the facility and off-site, will be managed by facility personnel.

  • Off site freezer management (per freezer/year)   $ 2089.00

Clinical sample processing:
Clinical samples from ongoing research experiments or surveillance studies may be received in this laboratory for isolation of cells or nucleic acids. A minimum information data set associated with all clinical samples will be required for storage and/or archiving.
