Raptor Bowl 2009

Annual Raptor Bowl event raises funds for The Raptor Center 

The Raptor Center hosted its fourth annual Raptor Bowl at Brit’s Pub in downtown Minneapolis on July 15. Sponsored by DeWaay Capital Management and LandCor Companies and presented by KARE 11 and WCCO Radio, Raptor Bowl featured an afternoon of rooftop lawn bowling by individual and corporate teams. Local celebrities included the 2010 U.S. Olympic team for men’s curling, stock car driver Molly Rhoads, and former Minnesota Twins, Minnesota Vikings, and Minnesota Wild players. Twenty-four teams competed in the tournament, which was won by a team from General Mills. Proceeds from the tournament and a live auction benefitted The Raptor Center.
