New Air Force falcon mascot got his wings at The Raptor Center

According to a January 27 story by the Associated Press, the latest addition to the Air Force Academy's collection of falcon mascots is a young American kestrel falcon who was rehabilitated at The Raptor Center. He was named after one of the characters in the movie "Toy Story."

The academy usually has between 10 and 15 falcons, cared for by cadets as an extracurricular activity. Some of them perform at outdoor events, soaring and diving above spectators. They also appear at falcon education events.
