College awards Tata Group student scholarships

(June 6, 2011) - Supported by the Tata Group Endowment in Small Animal Surgery, the College of Veterinary Medicine has awarded student scholarships to three final-year students of the Karnataka Veterinary School in Karnataka, India. The awardees are Ahmed Iftekar, Karthik Aswathappa, and Reddy R Raghunath.

The student scholars are participating in small animal surgery, medicine, and general practice clinical rotations during an 11-week visit to the Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) that started June 6.

“The program provides a unique opportunity for VMC personnel to share personal and professional experiences across different cultures,” notes Dr. Mike Conzemius, program director.
