The VMC launched the Facebook-based contest at https://apps.facebook.com/petofthegame/contests/230062. A special application allows the public to enter and vote on Pet of the Game entries for each of the Gopher Football home games, where finalists and winning Pet of the Game photos will be displayed on the scoreboard. There will be an in-stadium text vote for the winner for the first home game September 8. Pet-of-the-Game winners will also receive a $150 VMC Gift Card and an entry in the grand prize contest for four Gopher tickets to the Minnesota-Michigan State game at TCF Bank Stadium on November 24, pre-game VIP field passes, and a $500 VMC gift card.
