Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation scholarships

Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation awards scholarships(February 8, 2013) — The Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation (MVMF) presented 12 scholarships to College of Veterinary Medicine DVM and graduate students at the Minnesota Veterinary Medical Association Annual Meeting on February 8. The winners: - Academy Pomeroy Scholarship (DVM/PhD student, $2,500): Susannah Lewis
- Companion Animal Scholarship (fourth-year student, $3,000): Kara Michael Carmody
- Dr. Tom Bloom Memorial Scholarship (fourth-year student, $1,000): Briana Hallman
- Food Animal Scholarship (fourth-year student, $3,000): Kelsey Ness
- James O. Hanson Continuing Education Scholarship (post-graduate student, $3,000): Dr. Susan Gale
- MVMA Leadership Award (fourth-year student, $,2500): Erik Holtze
- Pomeroy Scholarship (second-year students, $3,000): Mitch Bellrichard, Thyra Bierman, and Andrew Kryzer
- Public Health Scholarship (first, second, or third-year student, $3,000): Danielle N. Botting
- Spannaus Scholarship (third year student, $3,000): Kami Vickerman
- VHA Memorial Scholarship (fourth-year student, $1,000): Kara Michael Carmody
The Minnesota Veterinary Medical Foundation has funded $414,400 in veterinary student and veterinary technician scholarships to defray the high cost of a veterinary education since 1990.
