Course III Somatic Cell Count

DairyCOMP305 Training Course 3- Individual Cow Somatic Cell Count Records

This course is another in a series of courses on using DairyCOMP305 to manage and evaluate a dairy farm. Successful completion of Training Course 1 is strongly recommended before enrolling in this advanced course. This course places strong emphasis on both background information for use of individual cow somatic cell count records and advanced DairyCOMP305 program mechanics.

It will also deal briefly with bulk tank somatic cell counts. It does NOT deal with event recording or data analysis of clinical mastitis or culture results.

Course Instructors

  • Paul Rapnicki, DVM MBA
  • Steven Stewart, DVM

This is an eight week on-line training course with six different units. Each unit requires seven to 10 hours for students to complete. Students are graded based on on-line quiz performance. 70% is required to pass.
