Speakers
Dr. Susan White
Dr. White is the Josiah Meigs Distinguished Teaching Professor at the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine and a diplomate of the American College of Internal Medicine. She earned her DVM degree at UC, Davis and her MS in pathology at UGA.
Dr. White has had a long standing interest in clinical dermatology, and has lectured throughout the United States on dermatological conditions of the horse. Her other clinical interests include respiratory diseases, neurology and neonatology. Dr. White has received numerous teaching awards during her tenure at UGA.
Dr. White has over 30 yrs experience in clinical practice. She was a featured speaker at AAEP in 2007 and will provide practical case-based advice on managing skin diseases in horses.
Dr. Leslie Sharkey
Dr. Sharkey obtained her DVM, residency training and PhD at the Ohio State University, becoming board certified in veterinary clinical pathology in 1999. She practiced in Burlington, Vermont for two years before spending five years at Tufts University. While at Tufts she was voted "Basic Science Professor of the Year" for three consecutive years. She is currently an associate professor at the University of Minnesota. Additionally, Dr. Sharkey has consulted for several private diagnostic
laboratories.
