EC - GeorDr. Ray Geor, an internationally recognized authority on Equine Metabolic Syndrome is currently Professor and Chairperson at Michigan State University and formerly the Paul Mellon Distinguished Chair in Agriculture at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. His research interests generally include equine medicine, nutrition and exercise science with a current focus in the interactions between obesity, inflammation, insulin resistance and laminitis.  Dr. Geor obtained his veterinary degree from Massey University in New Zealand, earned a PhD from the Ohio State University and is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He has held faculty positions at the University of Guelph and University of Minnesota.
