Welcome to the home page for the 10th International Colloquium on Paratuberculosis (ICP) to be held at the University of Minnesota West Bank campus at Willey Hall from August 9th through 14th, 2009 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Please visit the site often for updates and you are invited to join the this year’s ICP. This is the official site where you will find information on the world’s only international conference with information dedicated to all aspects of paratuberculosis. During this year’s week-long event progress in immunopathogenesis, diagnosis, control and eradication of paratuberculosis will be reported and explored by a line-up of internationally recognized experts and researchers. Sponsored by the International Association for Paratuberculosis every second year, the ICP has been attended by a large number of delegates from countries around the world each year. The colloquium being held at the University of Minnesota in 2009 is expected to attract a total of 300 to 350 scientists and administrators from universities, research organizations, and industry as well as state veterinary representatives and producers. A highlight of the 2009 ICP will be a special debate on the possible role of M. avium subsp. paratuberculosis as a public health threat. This event will be of particular interest to medical scientists, researchers and decision makers. The scientific program promises to be exciting and information packed with well-known international speakers invited to give plenary lectures and dedicated scientists reporting new results in a number of focused scientific sessions. In addition, there will be poster sessions and a commercial exhibition adjoining the break area. An extension outreach workshop for veterinarians and animal producers on August 10 is sponsored by Johne's Disease Integrated Program.
