Redig Professorship in Raptor Medicine and Surgery, College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota

Dr. Patrick Redig The Patrick T. Redig Professorship in Raptor Medicine and Surgery was created to honor Dr. Redig’s outstanding contributions to The Raptor Center. The professorship makes raptor medicine a permanent priority for the center through funding salary and research for faculty members specializing in raptor medicine and surgery, thereby ensuring that raptors will always have strong advocates in Minnesota.

Professorship Activity

The Redig professorship continues to provide support for visiting veterinarians in The Raptor Center’s clinical training and research program. To date, this program has graduated eight students with either a Ph.D. or master’s degree, along with providing comprehensive training in clinical avian medicine and surgery. Associates from the center are pleased to have played an integral role in their academic programs and thank you for giving them the support to make this possible.
