Equine Center Case Statement, The Development and Alumni Office in the College of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Minnesota

A renewed tradition of excellence in equine care, research, and education is here! Groundbreaking for the Equine Center is only a few months away, and we are almost halfway towards the $12 million goal for our campaign. The world-class facilities at the Equine Center and exciting, comprehensive equine program represent a new era in which the growing significance of horses is celebrated throughout the entire equine community.

This state-of the-art complex will include the Nutrena Conference Hall, a spacious indoor arena, a modern high-speed treadmill, and custom-designed lameness and reproductive evaluation areas. The progressive equine program incorporates the many unique academic resources only available at the University of Minnesota to produce meaningful, innovative advancements in the health, well-being, and performance of the horse.

The sophisticated facility and program will provide innovative research opportunities, progressive undergraduate training, and advanced equine education.

The Center will disseminate information relevant to all aspects of equine health and performance throughout the equine community.
