Diagnostic imaging is one of the most rapidly changing fields in veterinary and human medicine. The University of Minnesota has a long-standing tradition of excellence in imaging. In addition to a staff of 4 board certified radiologists, we have a specialist in equine ultrasonography and are adding Computerized Tomography (CT) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for horses in 2007. The College of Veterinary Medicine offers continuous (24x7) emergency services that cover the full spectrum of equine problems. We are available at all times to help you and your veterinarian handle injuries, colic, sudden changes in attitude or behavior, difficult deliveries, premature foals, difficulty breathing, and other equine emergency situations.
