Arne Zislin, director of the academic liaison program at Fort Dodge Animal Health, announced that Fort Dodge will make a significant donation of supplies and medications to the College's elective small animal surgery rotation (ESAS) for the 2007–2008 academic year. During the two-week rotations, students become proficient in elective surgeries such as ovario-hysterectomies, neuters, and declaws for small animals. Students are responsible for the pre- and post-operative care of their patients, who become available for adoption through local Animal Humane Societies after recovery.
