Preconference Seminars, Wednesday, August 13, Veterinary Continuing Education - the University of Minnesota

You will notice there are no laboratory sessions during the main conference as we have had in the past. This year we are trying a new format to address past attendees requests for advanced courses. The organizing committee decided to start simply knowing that we would not be able to offer classes to meet everyone’s needs. If this pre-conference works out well,   we are committed to expanding into additional topics for a wider professional group in the future.

There are two courses available, both on the topic of spinal mobilization. The classes are limited to allow for more “hands-on” experience. We are asking for license verification and evidence of previous coursework in order to ensure the level of preparation of registrants. Laurie Edge-Hughes will be offering our canine course which is open to Physical Therapists and Physiotherapists with Spinal Mobilization/Manipulation coursework or Veterinarians with Chiropractic certification from accredited programs.  Lesley Goff will be offering our equine course for Physical Therapists and Physiotherapists with Spinal Mobilization/Manipulation coursework.

The Organizing Committee appreciates that you understand this is our first step into developing advanced courses. We look forward to hearing your feedback so we can plan for the next symposium.
