Corporate Events and Programs


 The Raptor Center presents educational programs with live eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons at corporate events nationwide. These events include everything from employee meetings, grand openings, and company picnics to the celebration of a new listing on the New York Stock Exchange.

The Raptor Center's fascinating and informative presentations offer people of all ages an opportunity they wouldn't otherwise have: The chance to see eagles, hawks, owls, and falcons up close and learn more about them. These birds serve as a great source of inspiration and motivation. The companies that have contracted with The Raptor Center for these unique programs include:

Canon
Representatives of The Raptor Center conducted a series of employee education programs to help Canon U.S.A. launch "Clean Earth," an environmental awareness and education initiative. Canon also invited representatives of TRC to present programs at a Run for the March of Dimes in Long Island, N.Y., the Greater Hartford Open in Hartford, Connecticut, and the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Wall Street in New York City.

Collins Medical Inc.
TRC staff presented educational programs for Collins Medical Inc. Headquartered in Braintree, Mass., the respiratory medicine equipment manufacturer produces a "Raptor" series of products called the "Falcon," "Hawk," "Eagle," and "Eaglet."

Eureka
Representatives of The Raptor Center presented educational programs for the Eureka World Vac program, through which the company donated a portion of the proceeds from sales of World Vac products to the National Parks Foundation.

General MillsAs a thank-you for the company's sponsorship of Andi, The Raptor Center's golden eagle, TRC representatives conducted educational presentations with the eagle at annual employee picnics at corporate headquarters.

Nationwide Insurance
As part of an award for superior customer service, two Nationwide employees won the opportunity to release a rehabilitated bald eagle outfitted with a satellite transmitter. A videotape about The Raptor Center and the release of the eagle was shown at a Nationwide employee meeting.

Northwest Airlines
Representatives of The Raptor Center presented educational programs at the grand opening of a new facility in Memphis, Tennessee. Northwest Airlines supports The Raptor Center by providing a discount on transportation for education birds and injured raptors.

PETsMART
Representatives of The Raptor Center have presented educational programs at the grand openings of new PETsMART stores nationwide. Presentations were also conducted at an annual employee meeting in Phoenix, Arizona.

TargetRepresentatives of The Raptor Center presented educational programs at the grand openings of new Target stores nationwide. At Target's invitation, TRC staff members also conducted presentations for the company's Take Charge of Education program at Fourth-of-July events in Washington, D.C. Target also invited representatives of The Raptor Center to present educational programs for the National Parks Foundation at the Grand Canyon, at the Tournament of Roses festivities in Pasadena, Calif., and at employee picnics.

3M
At the company¿s 100-year anniversary, 3M¿s president released a bald eagle from The Raptor Center. TRC staffed an exhibit at a companywide celebration attended by more than 10,000 employees, retirees, and their families.

U.S. Bancorp
Representatives of The Raptor Center made a presentation for the sales staff at U.S. Bancorp's corporate headquarters in Minneapolis. The company also sponsored four patient birds, which their top salespeople returned to the wild at The Raptor Center's annual Fall Bird Release in September 2001.
