How to Become a Volunteer

Hawk

Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older to volunteer in the clinic, flight, and education areas. These areas also require a weekly commitment. Volunteer orientations take place in the fall and spring of each year and are followed by extensive training. To make maximum use of your training, we ask that you a one-year commitment. You must have health insurance and/or car insurance and show proof of insurance. A tetanus shot is also recommended. Other volunteer positions offer a more flexible schedule.

We welcome youth ages 12 to 18 (with parental supervision) who would like to help in organizing special events with initial setup and take-down and work at the event as needed (see special events). Other possibilities include assisting with displays, painting projects, clerical duties, and more.
