| Dipstick Only |
Parameters generated from the urine dipstick include semi-quantitative measurement of urobilinogen1, protein, pH, blood2, ketones3 bilirubin and glucose. Confirmatory tests for the presence of bilirubin (Ictotest), ketones (Acetest, acetoacetic acid) and protein (sulfasalicylic acid precipitation test, SSA) may be performed if there is a positive result on the dipstick. |

1Urobilinogen is reported only on non-human primates.
2Intact RBC's myoglobin and hemoglobin may each result in a positive dipstick reaction for blood.
3Acetoacetic acid is the only ketone measured by the urine dipstick. In veterinary species, other undetected ketones (e.g., beta-hydrobutyrate, acetone) may be present in urine.
4Please contact the lab for additional information if your available volume is less than the preferred volume.
