Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory

University of Minnesota Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (VDL) is a national leader in providing rapid diagnosis of animal diseases, identifying emerging diseases, developing new diagnostic methods, and training diagnosticians and veterinarians. VDL is the official laboratory of the Minnesota Board of Animal Health.

Veterinary Clinical Pathology Laboratory

The Clinical Pathology Laboratory offers hematology, coagulation, and biochemical testing, urinalysis, and body fluid analysis for a large variety of species.

Clinical Investigation Center

The Clinical Investigation Center (CIC) facilitates veterinary clinical trials and translational research studies which may lead to new drugs, devices, procedures and treatments for the benefit of animals and humans alike.  The CIC provides expertise, facilities, technical staff, and overall study coordination.

Veterinary Medical Center

The Veterinary Medical Center (VMC) is the most advanced, full-service referral care center for large and small animals in Minnesota. The VMC sees more than 35,000 cases annually, with specialists available in all areas of medicine and surgery. More than 50 veterinarians on staff are board-certified specialists in a particular area of veterinary medicine.
