Research Interests

• Development, characterization, and clinical applications of adult bone marrow and adipose derived mesenchymal stem cells in large animal model species and species of veterinary interest
• Development, characterization, and clinical applications of induced pluripotent stem cells in large animal model species and species of veterinary interest
• Pathogenesis of diabetes mellitus and development of novel therapies for diabetes

Clinical Interests

• Surgical pathology including oncologic pathology and dermatopathology

Instructional areas

• Veterinary pathology: amyloidosis and diseases of the endocrine system
• Surgical and comparative pathology
