Senior SAVMA Delegate

The Student AVMA (SAVMA) Senior Delegate is a voting member of the Executive Board.  This position is automatically filled by the Junior Delegate.  As a Junior and then Senior Delegate they will attend a total of 4 conferences: SAVMA Symposium during spring of their first year, AVMA Convention in the summer after their first year, SAVMA Symposium during spring of their second year and AVMA Convention during the summer after second year.  The Senior Delegate will continue to serve on the committee they were appointed to as Junior Delegate.  The senior delegate is responsible for receiving and disseminating information from SAVMA and the AVMA to our local chapter such as scholarship opportunities, externship opportunities and AVMA updates.  In addition to performing committee duties, and holding a voting position on the SCAVMA Executive Board. The senior delegate is also responsible for promoting SAVMA Symposium to students as well as promoting SAVMA/ SCAVMA membership.  It is the Senior Delegate’s responsibility to ensure the MSL for all UMN CVM students is completed and sent to the AVMA after SCAVMA enrollment during the fall.
