Vice President

The office of the Vice President holds a voting position on the Executive Board and is expected to attend all Executive Board meetings. The Vice President shall preside at Chapter and Executive Board meetings in the absence of the President. He or she shall aid and assist other officers of the chapter in every way possible. In addition, the Vice President serves to coordinate the activities of all Chapter Committees and act as liaison between committee co-chairs and the Executive Board. The primary responsibility of the office of the Vice President is to assign new SCAVMA members to committees, to ensure all committee assignments are fulfilled, and to act as advisor to each of the committees. To that end, the Vice President shall meet with each of the Committee Co-chairs on the first Tuesday of every month. It is important that the Vice President be familiar with the activities of all of the committees. This office requires up to 6 to 8 hours per week, though it is usually closer to 1 to 2 hours per week.
