Treatment Protocols

Reference to a specific product or its use in a protocol does not imply endorsement by the College of Veterinary Medicine, nor does lack of use imply any criticism of other products.

A link to download each protocol in MSWord format is provided at the top of each page. To immediately download to your hard drive, right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As". Clicking directly on the link may open the Word document directly in the browser window. To save to your hard drive at this point, choose File/Save As.

The TMF is working to implement the model of Dairy Best Practices (DBP) for drug use on dairies developed by the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. The mission of DBP is to produce a system of best practices for dairy veterinary practice that helps veterinarians properly oversee the use of drugs on dairies in both a medical and regulatory context and to assure compliance with the current legal standards surrounding the use and distribution of prescription and extra-label drugs on dairy farms.  Please visit the DBP website for more information and resources: http://www.cvm.umn.edu/mdbp/home.html

The TMF protocols and drug budgets are being created by the Veterinary Protocol Manager software developed by the

University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine.  Information on this software is available on the DBP website.
