Research Interests

Dr.Stromberg's laboratory works on several aspects of helminth and protozoan parasitism as they relate to animal health. Research includes the epidemiology of ruminant parasitism, particularly the relationship of the life cycle of the parasite that takes place outside of the host. The laboratory also evaluates new anthelmintic compounds against ruminant helminths in an experimental or natural challenge situation. The development and distribution of anthelmintic resistance is another area of interest. Another area of research is with the bovine coccidia, Eimeria bovis and Eimeria zuernii.
