Cardiology
Rebecca Cervenec, Resident Dr. Cervenec graduated summa cum laude from The Ohio State University in June of 2011. She completed a rotating internship in internal medicine and surgery at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Cervenec holds a Master of Science degree in Animal Sciences from the University of Arizona. Dr. Cervenec is interested in interventional cases and management of acquired heart disease. Maxie Krüger, Resident Dr. Krüger completed her studies in veterinary medicine in 2007 at the University of Leipzig. She completed a Cardiology Internship at the University of Berlin and a Rotating Internship at Western College of Veterinary Medicine. Damon Leeder, Resident Dr. Leeder completed a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Sydney in 2007. From 2008 to 2009, Dr. Leeder completed a Rotating Internship in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery. Christopher D. Stauthammer, Assistant Clinical Professor Dr. Stauthammer completed his undergraduate and veterinary studies at the University of Illinois. He continued his professional training as an intern and resident in Comparative Cardiology at the University of Minnesota. In 2009, Dr. Stauthammer joined the faculty as an assistant clinical professor of Cardiology. Dr. Stauthammer has received several teaching, service, and academic awards. He is actively involved in Clinical Research at the University of Minnesota and provides excellent training and education to DVM students, interns, and residents.
