Jed Overmann, Assistant Clinical Professor
Dr. Overmann completed his DVM at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in Ames, Iowa in 2004. In 2007 he completed a Veterinary Clinical Pathology Residency at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Overmann is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Pathologists. Dr. Overmann is interested in diagnostic hematology and cytology, immune-mediated hematologic diseases, the scholarship of teaching and learning, and case-based learning in the veterinary curriculum.
Jill Schappa, Resident
Dr. Schappa is a 2012 graduate of the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine. She completed her undergraduate studies in Zoology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Dr. Schappa is interested in translational and comparative medicine.
Davis Seelig, Assistant Professor
Dr. Seelig obtained his BS degree from Boston University, followed by a DVM degree from Tufts University in 2003. He then completed Veterinary Anatomic and Clinical Pathology Residences and a PhD degree in pathology at Colorado State University. He became a diplomate of the ACVP in 2011 and joined the faculty at the University of Minnesota in 2013. His laboratory focuses on prion disease pathology and pathogenesis, experimental radiation biology, and the advanced classification of veterinary lymphoproliferative diseases.
Leslie C. Sharkey, Associate Professor
Dr. Sharkey obtained her BS with Honors from the University of Michigan, followed by a DVM and PhD in cardiovascular physiology from the Ohio State University. She became a diplomate of the ACVP in 1999, and was on faculty at Tufts University in Boston before joining the University of Minnesota. Dr. Sharkey is interested in experimental pathology, cancer biology, and the scholarship of teaching and learning.
