Anatomic Pathology Residency
The Anatomic Pathology Residency Program at the University of Minnesota is designed as a three-year program that focuses on preparing the trainees for successfully completing the American College of Veterinary Pathology (ACVP) board examination. Hands-on training in anatomic and surgical pathology, with emphasis on gross and microscopic pathology, includes a broad exposure to companion animal, food animal, avian, laboratory animal and zoo/wildlife cases. This training is complemented by pathology laboratory teaching experience (freshman and sophomore veterinary students) and mentorship of senior veterinary students on necropsy rotations. The training faculty includes ten on-site board certified pathologists who are actively involved with the residency training program.
