1. When to use EM? Electron microscopy is frequently useful in reaching a final diagnosis when the lesion remains diagnostically problematic after conventional histology or immunohistochemistry. When in doubt, please contact our staff.
2. Is the condition of the sample suitable to be processed for EM? It depends on the method of fixation and time of collection (see the submission guidelines). When in doubt, please contact our staff. 3. Is paraffin-embedded tissue suitable for EM? Yes, but it depends on the time of tissue fixation (see the submission guidelines).
