Diagnostic Ultrastructural Pathology Service

The mission of the Veterinary Diagnostic Ultrastructural Pathology Service (VDUP) is to provide diagnostic solutions to the veterinary and biomedical community using electron microscopy (EM).

Diagnostic ultrastructural pathology service is carried out under the direction of an experienced ACVP-Board Certified Veterinary Pathologist and three electron microscopy staff. VDUP is well-equipped to conduct a variety of quality services.

• Diagnostic pathology (see Techniques and Applications).
• Agent identification and pathogen screening (see Techniques and Applications).
• Research in disease mechanisms.
• Validation of new diagnostic technology.
• Anatomic pathology resident training.
