**VDL Endocrinology Laboratory Announcement: Important Changes**

As of June 25, 2010 the Endocrinology Laboratory will no longer offer clinical endocrinology service based on single sample submissions and daily scheduling. In light of the current economic environment, and realizing that routine diagnostic testing is available at many commercial laboratories, we will now focus on the needs of research investigators who require test validation or the determination of endocrine/metabolic analytes in samples that can be batched for cost effective service. 

Please contact the laboratory prior to submitting any samples for research testing to establish availability of testing, fees and scheduling. 

Sample collection and handling procedures may affect endocrine testing and the accuracy of the results reported. For that reason, please follow the specific instructions provided on the second page of the Comparative Immunology and Endocrinology  Submission Form.
