Dr. Menard graduated from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Montreal in 1987 and has served as a swine practitioner consultant for a swine integrated company in Quebec ever since. She is active in the swine community, currently serving as a board member of the Quebec Swine Health advisory board of the Quebec Pork Value Chain, the advisory board of the Research Chair on Food Safety from the University of Montreal and board member of the PRRS ARC & E project-Monteregie area in Quebec.
She has been consulted lately as expert advisors for many sponsored Canadian Swine Health board projects. She is a past President of the Canadian Association of Swine Veterinarian (CASV) and has been in the organizing committee of the IPVS 2010 in Canada. Her main responsibilities and focus are sow herd management and PRRS control through gilt acclimation, biosecurity, barn filtration as well as regional control projects.
