DairyCOMP305 On-line Training Curriculum

The University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine is pleased to present our online training courses in the DairyCOMP305 software program. This DairyCOMP305 on-line curriculum is a collaborative effort between the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine and Valley Agricultural Software.

Follow the links below to learn more about the On-line training courses, upcoming start dates, and links to easy, on-line registration. Please check back often, as new courses are being developed and as they are released new links will be posted.

The DairyCOMP305 On-line Training Curriculum is organized into specific levels. You can choose to take the mix of courses that best fits your DC305 training needs.

Level 1: Introductory and basic programs. These courses are excellent for those new to the DC305 program and for those that want to build a solid foundation of the basics. Courses in this level are expected to take 8 weeks to complete.

Level 2: Specific DC305 program topics. These courses are designed for those already familiar with the DC305 program. Each course will focus on a specific dairy management area. Courses in this level are expected to take 4 weeks to complete.

Level 3: Special DC305 topics. For the future, we are considering developing more advanced DC305 training. Our current priority is to develop additional Level 1 and Level 2 courses first.

The next DairyCOMP305 courses are schedule to begin May 6, 2013 for the Introduction and June 3, 2013 for the BREDSUM and Somatic Cell Count. Registration deadline for Introduction is April 22, 2103 and May 20, 2013 for the BREDSUM and Somatic Cell Count.  Registration deadlines as stated for each course are final due University web course policies. DO NOT contact the instructor to request admission after registration - it is not an instructor deadline - it is a systems deadline.If you have questions about registration policies please call 612-624-3434 or email vetmedce@umn.edu but we emphasize that late registrants are not permitted.  If you miss the registration deadline, we ask that you register for the next course.
