Who We Are and What We Do!

The Medical Imaging Department offers a full-range of quality, diagnostic services in the areas of small and large animal radiology, computed tomography, ultrasonography, diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine, magnetic resonance imaging, and radiation therapy. In addition, we have also expanded our referral radiographic interpretation services to include teleradiology.

Our service is composed of 3-board-certified radiologists, 2-radiology residents, 4-small animal radiology technicians, 1-magnetic resonance imaging technologist, 3-ultrasound technicians, 2-radiation therapy technicians, 1-office administrative specialist, and 1-floor supervisor.

     
Recent News:
  • 2012.February - UMN VMC Department of Medical Imaging would like to welcome our new radiologist, Dr. Frederic David to our team. Dr. David completed his veterinary education in France. He spent one year in an equine internship at the Marion duPont Scott Equine Medical Center and two years in an imaging internship at Ross University. Dr. David is currently completing his residency in Diagnostic Imaging at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. He will be joining our radiology team starting sometime this summer.

  • 2011.October - UMN VMC Department of Medical Imaging would like to announce the installation of a new 64-slice CT. The installation has begun and our projected go live is November 7, 2011. The CT is a 64-slice Toshiba Aquilion.

  • 2010.September - UMN VMC Department of Medical Imaging would like to congratulate Dr Tsuyoshi Murakami on successfully defending his PhD Thesis "Assessment of the Relative Predictive Value of Patient Information Towards the Diagnosis in Canine Sonographically Detected Focal Liver Lesions and Canine Thoracolumbar Intervertebral Disc Herniation Using Logistic Regression Models."
