With a rich history of research, discovery, and animal care spanning a half-century, the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary medicine has become a internationally recognized leader in veterinary medicine. Created as a division of the School of Agriculture in 1916, the school initially engaged in animal health research and played a major role in standardizing tests for brucellosis.
